I am the Director of New Media for Bedford/St. Martin's. We publish pedagogical tools (formerly known as books) in composition, developmental English, English literature, history, communication, journalism, and philosophy. I spend most of time talking with instructors and programs about issues surrounding the use digital content and learning tools: content delivery, interactivity, customization, curriculum design, faculty development for online teaching, using computers in face-to-face and hybrid classrooms, e-portfolios, assessing (and self-assessing) student learning, and so on.

My job is a lot of fun because I spend most of my days talking to smart people about important ideas.
