Challenges and Opportunities: Three Perspectives on Implementing a College-Wide E-Portfolio

With the increased focus that we all face on assessment of student learning outcomes, e-portfolios initiatives have sprouted up across our campuses and the country. Owens Community College has become a national leader in the Sakai-based, open source portfolio, but to do so, it has had to develop a portfolio system to measure the general education core technical and political obstacles, but the result has refocused and revitalized the College’s efforts to measure student learning.
