Information drives the Internet. With the onset of Web 2.0 and the semantic Web, we are starting to see the rise of user-created content in the form of blogs, wikis, music, video and other digital forms. Creative Commons licensing offers a way to both protect and share an individual’s content in a clear and easy-to-understand manner. It also provides an easy method of retrieving content that could be used in the development of a learning object.
